The SEACS Project aims to raise awareness of climate and energy issues in schools and communities on both sides of the channel.
It is important to evaluate the impact and success of any awareness raising initiative. This can be achieved by using ‘before’ and ‘after’ questionnaires. To achieve this, you can use the questionnaire templates included in this section. The questions have been designed to be answered by pupils and there are additional opportunities for them to extend their learning in the ‘after’ evaluation.
The method for completing the questionnaires will depend on the age and ability of the children. The SEACS Project has provided KS1, KS2 and secondary level questions. It is recommended that each school should aim to involve at least 10 pupils.
The questionnaires are a great way for your Eco-Team or class to evaluate the success of their energy awareness campaign. This is an essential part of the ‘Evaluating and Monitoring’ criteria for any schools involved in the Eco-Schools Awards Programme.
